Dr. David Whalen

He's also certified in IV sedation, so patients in pain or distress can receive the comfort they need during treatment.
Dr. Gloria No
Dr. Gloria No earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry and is an active member of many prominent dental organizations. She provides comprehensive dental care with a focus on keeping patients comfortable and at ease, especially during a stressful emergency visit. She’s here to provide relief fast.

No Need to Worry About Pain We Offer Sedation Options
Dr. Whalen has completed advanced training in sedation dentistry procedures, so you can relax throughout your appointment. Our Troy, Birmingham, and Bloomfield patients can choose from:

Nitrous Oxide
Nitrous oxide, or “laughing gas,” is a mild form of sedation administered through a nose mask. It can help you feel relaxed while keeping you conscious throughout your procedure. The effects wear off quickly once the mask is removed, so you can drive yourself home.
Oral Conscious Sedation
Oral conscious sedation involves taking a prescribed pill before your appointment. This medication will alleviate anxiety and create the feeling of deep relaxation for the duration of your appointment. You will need someone to drive you to and from our office.
IV Sedatives
The deepest form of sedation we offer, IV sedatives are administered directly into the bloodstream for profound pain relief and relaxation. This could be the preferred option if you need more complex care, like dental implants. You will need someone to drive you home.
“The absolute best dentistry experience”
“This is by far the absolute best dentistry experience that I have ever had! I was seen by Dr. Whalen. I went in to get two teeth extracted in which everyone knows getting root canals can be one of the most scariest and stressful things. The service was quick. The teeth were out and I was pain-free before I could even panic lol.”
